The Second Wave of Modern Feminism began in the 1960's with the release of The Feminine Mystique. The Civil Rights Movement was a series of marches whose goal was to desegregate the South. Second Wave Modern Feminists used some of the clauses of the Civil Rights Amendment and apply them to feminist movements.
